Theres a debate in Leicester currently with people who think routes like this should not be built on roads with 3 or 4 lanes of one-way traffic - I disagree, this is exactly where they should be built to link suburbs in the south of the city to the city centre - Its only a 20 minute bike ride from Eyres Monsell, Saffron & Aylestone to the city centre and a couple of hundred people do it each day despite there being no facilities for large stretches - It could be a couple of thousand easily - We just need to learn to share the highway space …
