Theres a gathering forming at Union Square, NYC this afternoon. With NYPD in prepared mode. Barricades on sidewalks, officers stationed and a command center. Briefly looked at the main banner erected on a parked truck at the square. I was a bit confused with the two completely separate phrases. The first phrase is on Trayvon. We all know that Zimmerman had a verdict of not guilty. In whichever way youd like to see it, Trayvon was killed. So, why is Trayvon the main subject matter here? Where is the crime of Trayvon (from what we gathered on news)? The second phrase on the banner have to do with... California. While the above took place in Florida. So, this group is addressing whats happening in which State to be exact? The banner also stated a generation. By now, Im absolutely confused on what this gathering is referring to. Sorry to say this, Stop influencing a generation of youngsters with mixed messages. Id address social inequality that is creating much tension and discrimination between Americans. And the amount of unjust treatment, which lessen the number of opportunities for a better tomorrow. (By the way, are there any procedures in applying for having vehicle access/standing/parking to Union Square?)
