Commercial news media.” I particularly liked the comparison of the modern economy to the French Ancienne Regime, the 1%-ers of the 18th century. “The rich didn’t know what to do with all that money back then — other than to spend lots of it to ensure it stayed in their families.” If youre not concerned with how the wealthy are spending their money to establish commercial dynasties today, youre just not properly aware of the problem. Their strategy (best epitomized by the activities of the onerous Koch Brothers) is to destroy every democratic institute, and make government their handmaiden.
