Theres a line spoken by the character Droz in the 1994 film PCU that goes, Whats this? Youre wearing the shirt of the band youre going to see? Dont be that guy. I could translate this into what I do in this way...Whats this? You just drove your car to a parts store and youre telling me you dont know what you drive? Dont be that guy. Believe it or not, such people exist. Its difficult to stomach that there are human beings that spend an exorbitant amount of cash on what amounts to them to be four wheels slapped on a shiny box, usually red (because red makes it go faster or something). Dont get me wrong. The people that actually do this are fortunately few in number...probably less than 1% of the customers that come in. It just blows my mind that people go and choose a vehicle and throw money at a finance company for years to pay the car off without paying attention to what theyre driving. When they do finally get it paid off, its even worse. Ask them what they drive and they get total panic driven brain lock from the realization that they just spent years paying off a major purchase about which they know nothing. I guess its why I do what I do. Somebodys gotta speak the language on different levels. *end of calculated rant*
