Theres a naive part of me that thinks that if people knew what they were doing in some cases they probably wouldnt have the heart to do it. Im betting MOST people that set out poison for raccoons, etc, know that the animal is going to die, but think that its going to be some quick death. To be honest I never knew what rat poison would do. Just assumed it killed much quicker than it does. It doesnt kill quickly. Billy was suffering for a day and a half before things got bad enough for me to know that it wasnt just being sore from playing. He was suffocating in his own body fluids, bleeding into some of his organs. Its like inducing the Ebola Virus on an animal. I dont know, if we cant do this to humans that rape and murder children, it shouldnt be tolerated against animals that are only trying to eat. Its cruel.
