Theres a new group on facebook worth checking out called Dangers Of Abusive Cults/Awareness. I personally was born into a religious cult that actively promoted breeding kids as disciples without a choice and many of us faced varied forms of horrific abuse before managing to finally escape. People need to stop thinking that children are their property and start recognizing them as individuals with rights. My parental duty is to teach my kids how the world works and how to keep safe etc.. I have no right to decide their hobbies, tastes, religious beliefs, careers or future plans.. that is their choice. I am so sick of parents murmuring about their ungrateful kids because I gave them life.. They seem to think that because they dragged a poor innocent child into this messed up planet and into their little bucket list that now that child owes them somehow.. :/ Sorry but the way that I see it is that since the kid didnt get to make an informed choice and it was dragged into things anyway then the parents need to hush up about their damn rights and start recognizing their childrens rights for a change. Just sayin..
