Theres a person I admire a lot, for a lot of reasons. But this person tends to post a lot of anti-cop stuff on FB. I dont know this persons history with the police, I suspect theres a past there, but it bothers me to see a pattern of negative generalizations about the police. In my experience, most of them are doing their best to do a good job -- and they have to deal with the animosity of those who have decided that cops are the enemy, so that does take a clear emotional toll on them. In my neighborhood, the cops are part of the community. So, Im trying to decide if I should defriend this person or try to overlook the negative generalizations about a whole class of people.
