Theres a txt message and FB post spreading of an alleged blind fault in Northern Bohol thats about to trigger a very large tremor. This is nonsense! Geological faults, be it blind or active, are potential sources of tremors due to the movement of continental plates. Quakes are regular occurence in this active earth. But, whether one will caused tremor now, or tonight or next month, is beyond human comprehension. There is still no instrument that can predict an impending earthquake. Please stop the rumor, it only causes more panic and fear to an already frighthened populace. Lets concentrate on helping Bohol and other areas affected by the October 15 killer quake, and its aftermath. What we should do instead is to be prepared always by strengthening our edifices and knowing basic survivals in case of emergency. Enough of this!
