Theres always so much speculation surrounding these events, which is complicated, and tricky, but probably a good thing as people grieve and begin the process of understanding in their own ways and on their own time. I think its nice that we are at a point as a collective conscience that we can unpack these things publicly, and have a meaningful discourse about human frailty, vulnerability, chemical imbalance, eternal loneliness, and the similarities and differences of our struggles in an honest and open way. I kind of hate the internet in the ways that it tears us apart and fractures our own sense of selves as we deliver it to one another, but in some ways, I think it makes it easier for us to open up and be vulnerable to one another. It feels like were moving forward, together not apart. Bless you Jim, bless you friends and welcomed strangers, bless you all that are with us now, those that are not around but always will be, and bless anyone who isnt afraid to be alone and strong and vulnerable in this often harsh and unforgiving world (yes, you can be vulnerable and strong). There is always beauty everywhere. I dont know if we could have saved Robin, I dont know if hes free now or at peace, I honestly dont know where he is or how terrible and painful his struggle was, but I can guess, having had my own, and I know that were all trying, battling the invisible armies of evil every day, trying to be more empathetic and trying to grow to a place where we can all be there for one another all the time, and for that, I am truly grateful.
