Theres an aspect of the NYPD strike that nobody is considering, and I think it bears rumination: Cops kill unarmed man, on camera, for no good reason. Grand jury clears the cops of murder. Vicious criminal kills two NYPD cops in retaliation. Mayor De Blasio makes some sorta anti-cop statements after. The NYPD throw an absolute shit fit, going on partial strike, picketing funerals, and whining about how its not fair and now theyre at WAR with the public. Arrests for minor infractions plummet, and... people in NY overwhelmingly approve of this in the polls. Complaints against the police also plummet. I cant be the only person thinking that theres a moral to this story: The next time cops murder an innocent in public, someone should kill some cops. And then society will be better. Discuss.
