Theres no need to be afraid...Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). I think we can all agree that the world we live in can be a very scary place. Whether it’s war, the economy, disease, or natural disaster, it seems like we never get a break. The Bible has hundreds of verses that focus on fear. When we put God first and pray daily, we find that we never have to be afraid. God is a shield and a stronghold to His followers in times of trouble. Jesus did not sacrifice Himself for us so that we could live in fear. In fact, the Bible states, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline” (2 Timothy 1:7). God wants us to be bold in His name when we serve. After Peter addressed the elders, Scripture tells us that, “When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus” (Acts 4:13). Likewise, when we share the Gospel without apology and with confidence, people will take note of how we deliver Gods message. The Christ follower simply has no reason to ever be afraid. There may be trials that come and periods where we are called to step out of our comfort zones, but God is in control. Someday we will all look back on our worries and realize how insignificant they were. The truth of it is if God calls us to do something, it will get done. He is all powerful and nothing will stand in the way of His ultimate purpose. So you dont have to be afraid to take the step or do the job! I pray you are blessed today!
