Theres no secret practice in the catholic church, even in the election of the pope at conclave is done in the presence of all cardinals. Even after a seminary formation, a bann of ordination is called to involve every catholic in getting good priests. During consecration the priest does everything in the open, no anyother ritual done than that which is backed by scripture. No worshipping of graven images openly nor secretly, theyre all for rememberance. After the sacrament of penance, the priest neither remember you nor your sins, he only help you not go back to it. So I dont know why protestants keep saying wrong about a true christ body that has open itself entirely on the cross.
