Theres no such thing as being too kind or too generous. Even when your thoughtful gesture goes unappreciated, what you give is always replaced by something far more valuable - the feeling of knowing that you did something with the sole purpose of helping someone out. The recipient of your kindness may never reciprocate, but there will always be witnesses to your good deeds. The impressions others have of me and the thanks received by those who recognize my efforts mean more to me than anything else. If you believe that being a nice person is getting you nowhere, god bless you because nothing gets you further in life than having a heart.
