Theres something about a lab that is hard to be put into words. Ive been around Labs most of my life and have had the pleasure of owning two of the best labs ever for 25 years. One big beautiful black male for over 16 years that also thought it was his responsibility to take extra good care of my three children and one beautiful yellow female for almost nine years who does her best to just be one of us which is fine. The kids are grown but she still keeps tabs on my 23 year old daughter by staring down at her through her bedroom window everytime someone walks in her room even if its me just checking on her! They all think they have their jobs to do and they do it well no matter what! It dosent matter how good or bad my day has been they seem to know and they can change it fast and make you feel better. Now Im not saying they take the place of my wife or kids by any means but its impossible to understand how they just plain know. Its just easier to say they love us unconditionally and would do anything for us without taking time to think twice about it. Thank God for dogs theyre love. They just want to give love and be loved in return. I think that when you think about it is just that simple. Maybe sometimes we just make things too complicated. John Showell
