Theres this ritual that military folks do when they meet thats very interesting. It starts as a Q&A; Where did you serve? What branch? Its about bonding and shared experiences. Those that are legit, tend to engage and enjoy the experience. Its easy to answer those questions, even years later, because they are so ingrained in who these people are. Those that arent legit, get defensive and freaked out by questions even I could answer. Lying about military service is one of the grossest things ever. Stop doing it. You really really cant fake this. Even if someone doesnt say something to YOU, they know.
