Theres word going around that the WWE is planning to scrap the Elimination Chamber PPV and replace it with a generic non theme PPV called Fast Lane. Well as far as gimmick Pay Per Views go, I dont think any of them have worked other than the MITB PPV. Naming a PPV after a special match takes away the charm and the unpredictability of the match itself. If they do decide to take out the Elimination Chamber PPV, I hope they put an older PPV like Judgement Day or Backlash in its place. Given the fact that the Undertakers streak is no longer a Wrestlemania attraction, they can insert an Elimination Chamber match in the card for the #1 contenders spot. This would also be a great way to keep the viewers interested in the PPV following Wrestlemania, which usually happens to be the least anticipated PPV of the year. The Hell in a Cell and TLC PPV should also follow suit as both of them have failed to garner much attention and appeal from the fans. Hell in a Cell and TLC matches should be reserved for special feuds that draw huge revenues. Getting rid of the gimmick PPVs will also allow greater flexibility in storyline creation. What do you guys think? Do you want to see a forced Elimination Chamber match at the start of ever year or do you want to see it being used to spice up a normal PPV when you have 6 legitimate main event caliber superstars vying for the World title?
