There’s a lot of bad press lately for police around the country, but like any profession there will always be a few who draw negative attention to their field. Yes, mistakes are made and some poor judgment has been used…it happens. I for one am thankful for our police officers, some who are family and friends, who work hard often crazy hours to serve the rest of us with integrity and respect. Don’t judge the many by the acts of a few. These men and women work terrible hours/shifts, get shot at, spit on, assaulted and wounded or killed. They work weekends and holidays because crime and emergencies know no “schedule”, and they have to face some very ugly, gruesome and gut-wrenching scenes and circumstances. In a recent event where one of our guests went missing, our local police responded in full force, immediately calling the state troopers, the sheriff, and search & rescue until the 91-year old was found. They did an outstanding job. This is a cool video of some kindness they display, and it’s not the only one. So instead of criticizing them, please pray for their safety, their families who also deal with their jobs, and for peace when they have to deal with more than we would ever want to.
