"There’s no Paradise without Rock & Roll" Through all my life, - TopicsExpress

"There’s no Paradise without Rock & Roll" Through all my life, I have seen and heard countless prestigious Rock bands, both in Cuba and in the United States. I have also admired, respected and applauded their hard work and talent. But “jumping over mountains and hills”, I have finally bumped into something I dare to call earthly paradise, it is a band called Silent Addictions. They are the consecration of both the mystical and the real, a rainbow of musical reflections, enhanced with talent and masterful virtuosity. I think many are not yet aware of this phenomenon, so to speak, and others do not want to see it, but everything in life has a price. How much they do nourish us! There is so much shortage of culture and good music out there! They should not be overlooked; they are an atomic explosion, a volcano, angry Mother Nature, the strength of an ocean! Every day they continue to increase and enchant their fans, who appreciate and distinguish right from wrong, as in western movies. There are many factors that make Silent Addictions the ratification of the saying that in union there is strength, in both thoughts, as well as in musical expressions, all converging on this point, which is called success. I think that in this area there is a lot of manipulation, a lot of misinformation, a lack of interest in learning to understand a good piece of artistic work regardless of its origin. If this were really looked at with the profile you require, then we would understand, we would be proud of such a musical event. Over the last 43 years (from the 70s till today) there hasn’t been a band of Cuban origin with this strength, quality, cohesion, talent, stage projection and repertoire, so strong, magnetic and charismatic. This has been the result of a very professional approach, desire, and their grasp, which has made the difference, giving them a magnanimous touch, making crowds worship and applaud them. Their fans are smart and they have a musical talent as well. Their five members: Luiso, Barba, Frank, Wilson and Tico, successfully complement this work, leaving nothing to the imagination. There is no arguing that they are turning stronger, and bolder, with a sinister temerity when playing songs that are “unplayable”, but achievable for them, and I repeat, this is my modest, professional and respectful opinion, but only those who have not seen them, might disagree. They are like a Category 5 hurricane, a lethal injection. In the near future I hope to see this band on the pedestal they deserve, and I wish them every success. Good music is a true art to those who really listen to it. Long live Rock & Roll!
