Thermal Imager Read Hebrews 4:11-13 Encouragement for the day – “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 ESV The thermal imager is a relatively recent tool that has been introduced into the fire service. This technology allows firefighters to look beyond the smoke and have the ability to find trapped victims as well as see the progression and location of the fire. Before the thermal imager firefighters would have to grope around searching for victims and would have to use their ability to feel differing degrees of heat to know where the fire is. Thermal imagers use infrared technology to pinpoint locations and have a proven track record with firefighters. Classes are taught on how to best utilize this tool during size-up, engine company operations, truck company operations and RIT operations. Only the imagination restricts the use of the thermal imager in the fire service. God also has a tool that is capable of seeing through solid objects. This tool is the Bible and it is able to look into the very heart and soul of a person. Before Christ we were set in our own ways and did what gave us pleasure. The Christian has the Holy Spirit living inside of them and He is the one that makes the Scriptures come alive. As we read through the Bible we will soon discover the power that lies within its pages. This power is able to make the proud person humble and the perverse spirit meek and obedient. God knows our very thoughts and our intentions in every situation. Let us therefore resolve to throw away self and cling to the Christian principles of the Bible, daily reading and studying its content. Lord, thank You for Your powerful word, the Bible. Encouraging first responders to keep the faith!!
