I highly suggest tuning in- I have a feeling its going to be an exciting year. Wishing the whole class all the best, especially my Miss VT little sister Lucy Edwards, Outstanding Teen sisters Caitlin Brunell and Jasmine Murray, and Chi Omega sister Ashton Campbell. So many other contestants are friends of friends and they reinforce that Miss America contestants are amazing women. If youd told me when I was 16 that being Miss Vermont and going to Miss America would be a part of my future I wouldnt have believed you. It just goes to show that you should never let yourself be trapped by expectations- whether theyre yours or someone elses. Dont buy into stereotypes. Dont make assumptions. Miss America and being Miss VT taught me that life truly begins at the edge of your comfort zone, so watch the pageant on TV tonight and know that ALL of those women are driven, dedicated, brave, rebellious and strong. (Oh, and cheer really loudly when you see my girl Miss Vermont.)
