These are extremely confusing and turbulent times—and social media often exacerbates that problem. Were becoming conditioned to form conclusions with hasty immediacy, harsh judgment, and damning criticism. As a friend once told me, Words are like arrows. Once theyre released, you can never bring them back. In these times where there are already too many assumptions that wedge even greater distances between the hearts, take a moment for pause. Take a breath. Think deeply. Solicit advice from trustworthy and informed sources. Seek the middle way in all that you do. God willing, these times will pass. Our hope is that Allah allows us to traverse these tribulations while holding on to our celestial principles. May we come out on the other side with our hearts and faith intact. Āmīn. And Allah knows best and His assistance is sought.
