These are just a few photos with the visitors we had at our house last night 😀! Santa & Mrs. Claus!!! Ty, ty very much to u & ur family, u all know who u are 😄. I have now had the privilege once again of becoming friends with a family who has continued to follow Lexi & our familys journey over the past yr & is inspired by the strength & admiration. As u can see the smiles on my kids faces, says it all!! So again, ty so very much & a very Merry Christmas to u all 🎄!! As we have started a new week, I would like to tell u that Lexi did return to school yesterday, wheelchair & all 😊. She did text me that she was in alot of pain & I asked if she wanted me to come & get her. Her words were No mom, I have to get this work done before I start another semester. She is such a trooper!! I picked her up about 12:15, she came home ate lunch, took some pain meds & went to sleep. Until I had to wake her up at 3:15 to go to tutoring. Yes thats right, I took her back up to the school to get extra help to get this semester under her belt.. She was supposed to b there from 3:30-5:15 & about 4:45 the teacher called & said Lexis had enough & was about asleep on a few occasions. She almost made it, but was just wore out. It doesnt take much for her body to get exhausted... She came home, ate dinner, which I was happy to see she actually ate lunch & dinner. This weekend she was very nauseas most of the weekend & didnt eat a whole lot of anything. We had our visitors & she was off to bed again. She is at school again this morning for yet another day. I know she was happy to get back & see her friends & favorite teachers 😊. She mentioned to me that a few kids of course had something to say about her being n a wheelchair. They said we just saw u get out of the car this morning & walk to ur wheelchair. It kinda got to Lexi & then she realized the type of kids that were talking & she said she quickly let it go in one ear & out the other. To all those, yes, Lexi can walk, however at this time she is not to do a whole lot of walking unassisted. Therefore while at school, grocery store, shopping, anywhere there may be alot of walking. She is to be in a wheelchair to keep the weight off her hips. Fortunately she has not had to go anywhere, but clinic & school since her surgery. NO, LEXI IS NOT IN A WHEELCHAIR FOR ATTENTION!!! So there u have it! Its just sad these days that kids are so mean, however I know there are alot of good kids out there. Ty to Katelyn for continuing to pick Lexi up n the mornings for school, wheelchair & all!! Also ty to Macy & all the kids who are helping get her from class to class right now. As always, ty to the wonderful teachers & school staff for understanding & always working with us no matter her situation at this time!! I truly appreciate u all!! We are hoping to give up the wheelchair & walker Christmas Day, Yay!! Then will need it once again after knee surgery, which were hopefully planning sometime n February. However we wont know for a few weeks or maybe longer if this hip surgery is successful for the time being. Ty for all the continued thoughts & prayers! I have received a few gift cards in the mail this week for our family & I want to say ty. U know who u are, but Ty Gloria so very much & also ty to an OSF nurse Rema, we met in Oct., that has since had my family on her mind. I cant ty all enough!!! I continue to thank all of u, our followers for everything, the comments, thoughts, prayers, messages, etc. Nothing ever goes unnoticed! ! We are very blessed to have u all a part of Lexis fight & our journey! Ty ty ty!!! Im hoping to get my procrastinating under control & fight the crowds this week to finish shopping for these kids & get to wrapping. Ty all for ur continued thoughts & prayers!
