These are our 30 years Too young to know what we were getting - TopicsExpress

These are our 30 years Too young to know what we were getting into, too young to even care, We were jumping on the road to uncertainty hoping that it would take us anywhere. We packed our lives and said goodbye, then started this trip together, It was a spring day, it was the month of May, and we knew that life couldn’t get any better. But it didn’t take long before our May was gone, fast quick and in a hurry, Suddenly our nice life of spring had become a January. It turned cold, there was snow and ice, There was a baby, God help us now we needed everyone’s advice. The first 10 years we just held on, yeah it was a bumpy ride, But giving up was not an option to us, we were young, but we still had our pride. Oh there were times that we almost gave in, But we got by with the help of our faith and friends. A little more seasoned, we learned the lessons we had to learn, But we never gave up, we Yeah we were traveling on the road of no return. By this time there was son number two, But the main thing that we had to learn was that you’d always have me and I’d always have you. The years have come, the years have gone, There’s been right, there’s been wrong. Three sons, a granddaughter and 30 years later, We’ve still got each other, and with God on our side, can we ask for anything greater? So I may not be all spiffy and shiny I’ll always be a diamond in the rough, But my love is all I’ve got to give, and I pray that that’s enough. Yes this is our 30 years, and it’s been us against the world, And in this world of oysters, heaven knows I’ve found a pearl. Dictated to my wife Dora Jean Banks “Thanks for all the love, and memories after 30 years, Ron”…..May 26th 2014
