These are the photos the daughter sent me. The cage is 19x14in and 2.5 ft tall based on the dimensions they sent me. I know that its way too small just from looking at it, not to mention my parakeets have a bigger cage Ive been looking on amazon and found a few cages that would be a better size, but I was wondering if anyone here has cages that they can recommend that are below $100. Ive recently moved and am dealing with other living expenses, so as much as I would love to get the biggest cage money can buy, my money can only go so far right now. I have a whole buttload of toys as well as veggie mash and pellets that get mixed with seed. All this is for the parakeets and there is more than enough to support a third bird So Im not worried about it and I have enough in savings that come spring, he can get the annual vet checkup when the keets do too. Im planning on doing the 30 day quarantine, maybe longer because I dont currently live in an area where I have easy access to a vet. Their regular one at Pender is 3 hours away. Ive told them Im not going to make any final decision until I see this bird in person. Ultimately, if I see anything that looks off-bad poops, abnormal vent, any kind of discharge..I dont think Ill be able to take him. As much as I want to, I dont have that kind of money to treat a major illness right now, and I cant risk bringing anything back to my keets.
