~These are the smiles that come from hearing that Taylor is officially one year cancer free!!! We thank God so much for answering our prayers and we thank all of you that continue to pray for her. However, her bone marrow scan did show signs of infection around her hip socket that is connected to her prosthetic. Taylor will have a hip aspiration and biopsy sometime this week and they will take a piece of her socket and the fluid and test them to see what type of infection we are dealing with. Depending on what the infection is will determine how extensive the treatment will be. It could be as simple as giving her a course of antibiotics to removing her entire prosthetic for six weeks to clean out the infection and then replace it. For now we wont focus on what the many possibilities the results could render and just thank God for her still being in remission and pray that the infection can be treated as easily as possible. Taylor has been through so much and continues to fight through horrific pain in her hip and leg everyday. I am beyond ready for her to pain free so she can continue to find a new normal l. So we are headed in the right direction by finding out what is causing her so much pain. Im very thankful for the amazing doctors here that listened to our concerns and acted quickly to get to the bottom of this issue. St Jude is such a blessing!!!! The last two weeks have been hard and we thank each and everyone of you for praying and supporting us. Once we know when her biopsy is we will update and let you all know. We are done with appointments for today and get to enjoy some of the activities going on today. They are having a Target Christmas Carnival and then Taylor will get to attend a teen Christmas celebration this afternoon. Tonight she will tackle some homework and hopefully rest more easy knowing she is still cancer free 💛💛💛
