These cups are handmade by an American military veteran. He learned pottery as a way to work through PTSD after serving in combat in the Middle East. He considers each cup, being shot with a bullet, as representative of each soldier killed in war. The cup is destroyed in 1.5 seconds. With each cup representing a soldiers death in World War II, youd have to watch this video continuously for over 2 years in order to witness those lives which were lost. Imagine how long youd have to watch to see the passing of all soldiers lost in wars from the last 100 years. War has been around since man picked up a rock, or sharpened a stick; thats a very, very long time. Thank you to all the veterans, whether living or gone, who overcame fear of the unknown and fear of the possibility of pain or death to defend their homelands, their loved ones, and their fellow citizens.
