These days I am feeling sad and discouraged by fellow followers of the Christ and his deeds (least of these, his word....which he LIVED and gave to others... Which so many of us just profess with our tongues without even fully THINKING or longing of understanding for...) for our ignorance, he was crucified. Through our stubborn, selfish, greed/power hungry mindlessness, he died... As an example of love...as an example of his forgiveness of us, before, in the midst and after his suffering, he pleaded to God for our forgiveness. Why is it then that we are so quick to judge and ridicule and cast out others who are not like us, when we are his voice?! We are supposed to seek the lost and hopeless and give them hope in his message...That is what brings us the most JOY! But I am instead I am discouraged by his word and his burden bared, being taken lightly by those whose only care is for self abasement and self glory. What hope is there if we cant open our eyes and live through bringing the lost to him... He is begging us to be his voice in this harsh world!, yet there are so many of us who cannot let go of out own worldliness to even see clearly! What hope is there in the thoughts that you are good because you have great communion with the church and those who like you in image and worldliness, when there are people sad and suffering on the streets in need of encouragement the most, to be soldiers and a voice of God? To be a Strong voice of hope for our God, to break the veil of suffering and injustice that we are still so content to work the machine of! Stopping working the machine and open your eyes to see. Help the helpless, give hope to those lost that our god sees and cares. Or... Just stay where you are in your legalistic ways. See how much Joy you can find only thinking of your own self abasement. As for me, I am sad and discouraged and wanting to a true follower of Christ, albeit a sinner. For his opinion and glory ALONE do I adore and commit my spirit of service to. Jesus is who I long to please and fight for...only Jesus. In his name, Amen.
