These days many messages have arrived, from within and from outside the Bocconi community, regarding Rector Andrea Sironis appointment as chairman of the CEMS. Here is what President Mario Monti wrote to him, and his words neatly encompass the spirit of the other messages: Dear Andrea, On the day you take office in Brussels as Chairman of CEMS, I would like to congratulate you on this appointment and extend my warmest wishes for success in this new and challenging task. I know that these feelings are shared by the whole Bocconi community, which is proud that our Rector has been recognized as the person best suited to lead the CEMS program. This is in fact a highly significant initiative to which Bocconi has strongly contributed since its inception, and you have been asked to lead it in a moment of further development within a particularly complex European and international context. I am sure that your presidency of CEMS will further enhance your prestige and, through you, that of our University. With my warmest personal regards Mario Monti, President Università Bocconi
