These may be a bit lengthy but, they are informative! The last couple weeks we have done several Corrective and Reconstructive Coloring. They are such great learning opportunities and really make us put on our thinking caps! I apologize if its hard to see but I will explain whats going on in this set of Photos. The 1st one is the before- this new client had recently had VERY heavily hi-lighted hair- there was some breakage from over processing- and her blonde hair had been covered with a violet tone brown. She had what we refer to as a very hollow tone- from not being filled before the dark color. Also, If you can see her ends were lighter than the rest of her color and were dull. The decided end goal was a dark rich brown that had lots of shine from root to ends and we wanted to tone out as much as the violet as we could! Once we decided on a formula we applied from Root to mid-length and left the ends out. Over porous ends tend to process very dark and muddy/dull. So to help with that we applied a leave in treatment to help even out the porosity to prevent the dark muddy ends. Once there was about 10 minutes left to process the color we pulled the color through the ends and VIOLA!!! Our end result :)
