These paintings deeply remind me of the beautiful being who it has been my honor to spend the last 3.3 years of my existence with. Ashley, thank you for the space that you hold for me, and for stoking the fire even when I couldnt find the strength. You showed me what true love really is, you got through to me in ways and places that I never thought possible. You showed me the beauty of compassion and selflessness, you held your ground when I betrayed my self. You speak your truth passionately, and yet.. you have let me go on and on (and on) about how I see things when I was still learning to listen (still am). You have helped me heal in so many ways that I could write a book about it, and you did it all out of love, without even really trying to help because you always insisted that there was nothing wrong with me, you have relentlessly held that space even why I was trying to tear it apart. How can I ever thank you enough? It will take an eternity, but thats juuust fine with me. I love you. More than words can describe (this is my best shot).
