These past couple of days have probably been the scariest for my fathers health since he was in Brighams and Womens Hospital four yrs ago. Friday night my poor mother yet again had to call the emts to come and get him. His breathing was shallow and he was not very responsive. At the Milford hospital his blood pressure was drastically low and body temp was only 95. The surgeon had to put in a central line in his groin and they had to give him blood among other things. The doctors then let us say good bye to him before they transported him to worcester. The Dr said that there could be an infection some where and they where pumping him full of anti biotics and fluids. I asked if he was dying an the Dr looked at me and all he said was he is a very, very sick man, but he is fighting like hell He has been in the ICU floor in Worcester since. Yesterday they moved the central line to his neck (easier and more permanent and less chance of it getting infected) He knew he was at umass because the nurse said he opened his eyes for a sec and said oh shit girl, am i at umass? Lol Today he is able to talk and is alittle more like himself. For anyone that knows my dad he is such a great person and great father, friend,husband and grandfather. Why does this have to be his life. He is sick of being sick and doesnt deserve this.
