These past couple of weeks have been insane. With long days working on customer cars/parts/tuning and long nights trying to finish the race car. Im sitting here exhausted as I type this but thrilled with the results of the cars first outing. We made 3 full hits today. First was 7.0@117 with no spray (forgot to arm it) and slightly rolling through beams so we got a late start that run. Next run was first round of qualifying and I pulled a 1.55 60ft but had my ramp too fast on my boost controller and when full power came on in 2nd it roasted 2nd so I let out, got back in it, and ended up with a 6.5x@116. The last hit was the 2nd round of qualifying and I spun a little out of the hole and pulled a 1.59 60ft but ended up with a [email protected]. During that run it actually blew the hose loose from the map sensor a little over half way and caused the PCM to only see 5psi but thankfully the 14.0 afrs and increased timing at the boost level it was at didnt hurt anything lol. The car wont stall very high at all without pulling through so we have some figuring out to do there. Didnt get a good burnout all day. To get out of the hole I would just bring the rpms up to around 2800 and when the lights dropped I would spray it with a 50 shot and let off when boost came on in 1st. The car went straight all day as well, which was great considering the killer head wind we were facing and the fact I didnt even drive the car up the road. It did make the car sketchy when I let off going through the traps. Huge thanks to my right hand man Jonathan Hedrick for being a badass, although a grumpy one, like always and being the main reason aside from me the car went form being bone stock in October/November to being track ready as of around midnight last night. I could go on and on but Im tired and ready to sleep. There are a ton of other friends to thank and you know who you are. Sorry for the novel, not really, but it happens.
