These pictures are for Liam Roberts, The solar panel is on the roof, the cables come in through the roof and run inside the roof lining and down to the vent, out of vent and connected to controller, 2 leads to battery and 2 load leads to run direct from panel to power what you want from the panel. The 2 leads to the battery charge the battery but you can also run appliances from the battery while the panel charges it. The Solar Regulator is fixed to the vent, the battery has gold plated multi-connect terminals with the fridge/cool box connected and running, there are a pair of jump leads also connected, easy to add appliance via the croc clips. In with the battery are 2 inverters, a 300 watt and a 2000 watt and both are 12 volt. There is an additional inverter that is 24 volt & 1500 watt that I run on a 24 volt Solar Panel set up with 2 x 12 volt batteries in series (not parallel) which seems to be more reliable for high power tools run from the boot, like a 1200 watt drill and a 1100 watt grinder + our lasses hair dryer on full power and full heat settings but just for camping the 12 volt system should suit you. Hope all this info is a bit clearer than mud bud ? Any questions just ask, and this is for anybody else who would like to use Solar Power for camping/caravanning so you are not paying the extra money for site hook up charges.
