These pithy memes on images are like weeds building into general modern thought. Sometimes they are extracted from a renowned writers work, sometimes from the back of a Hallmark card. Usually convenient for people who otherwise lack the attention span or the drive to explore the impetus behind the original statement in context with its surrounding, but can pretend to be intelligent and cause-driven just the same. Fast food messages for a fast food world. The funny ones are cool but the ones that grate are the socially-conscious, morally upright ones or those that proclaim strong individualism which the individual then proceeds to betray in every way possible.
