These precious little lives were almost lost this morning. Someone left them in a cardboard carrier outside our gate. Thankfully, we had staff members who arrived earlier than scheduled and found them in time. Kittens this little are not able to maintain their body temperature so being out in the elements for any period of time puts them at risk of freezing. If you find baby kittens, please keep them in a dry, warm space until your local shelter opens so that you can ensure their safety. By holding onto them until you can get them into a shelter prepared to care for them you are literally saving lives. Shelters want to save these animals too!
