These sea bases offer a host of benefits over terrestrial bases. Theyre easier to defend, can be deployed anywhere in the ocean, and are expected to save the US taxpayers quite a bit of money over the long term. The drawback? Unlike terrestrial bases, they sink. Of course, the one Democratic House Rep. was worried about Guam capsizing if we put too much stuff on it so its not surprising that a journalist would miss the glaringly obvious also...
