These verses in Isaiah are some of my favorites and were given to us as a promise over 10 years ago as we prepared to embark on an amazing journey that we are still on here in South Korea... a journey filled with excitement, new things, and springs in every wilderness we face! God is faithful! When you face great waters and they seem to be pulling you under, remember that God is the One who parts the water. When you cannot bear anymore, God will open the waters and place your feet on dry ground. When you are cornered in the den of lions, remember that God is the One who specializes in shutting the mouths of those who try to devour you. God doesnt want us to fight against Him and try to fix our situations. He wants us to surrender the situation and admit that we cannot do it on our own. Our disobedience must weary God, yet He waits, forgives, forgets, and blesses! He is just waiting for us to forget about the past, repent, receive, and drink from the springs of refreshing life-giving water that only He can give. Stop fighting your own battles, the battle is already won. Move forward out of the wilderness and into the plan that God has perfectly and wonderfully prepared. God is doing a new thing! He is doing a new thing for You. He is doing a new thing today! Isaiah 43:16-19,25 This is what the Lord says— he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick: “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.
