These words are to great not to share. By Ben Daniels... This run was in 1986. Year three of the toy run. The line stretched from the railroad bridge in front of Daniels to just past the old IGA grocery store on route one. Just over two miles. The event site had over 80,000 participants at rash field in Baltimore. My father ran the event for sixteen yrs with a volley of friends that volunteered their time to make this a true charity event for the kids. Whats better than a toy for a kid at Christmas that otherwise wouldnt get one. My father would say god bless all those involved. Daniels was the spot where the committee met regularly and made this thing happen. Many charity events have been born at Daniels. Many with great magnitude and true inspiration to actually help those in need. I say god bless the coolest bar to ever give life to events such as these. Vote for that. That bar has never just been a place to have a beer or grab a bite. Its not just a bar. Its an institution of love for the community.
