These young Juba girls can really piss ones day early in the morning . Today, I had to go and board a matatu for work. The Munuki stage was full with students and people going for their morning businesses. There was no matatu at the moment. After some 5-10 mins , a matatu came and the conductor was calling Konyokonyo, konyokonyo..etc I was lucky since it is the same route I will take . But phew !!!! People started rushing and pushing each other in order to get a seat . I pulled aside to avoid being hurt. After the matatu got its seats full and was about to take off, the conductor stopped the driver and asked me to come and sit on his seat. As I was approaching to sit, two young girls in uniform and having their bodies bleached were standing near me and one of them said to the conductor in arabic........Hasa malu ita ma nadi banat takum ta beled ashan bi geni , ita bes nadi wewe de ? I had already sat when I heard this , I stopped the driver in my Khartoum arabic ... Al iznak ya abu shabab , shilu banat del fi mahal tai de and I turned to the girls and told them the reason why at your age u are bleaching and having big breasts is because you are actually spoiled girls and you will never go ahead in studies only to be used by the Juba Men who like your types.... I left the bus and went and stood waiting ... the driver also crazily enough decided to stop his engine and told his passengers that he will not drive the matatu if these girls are to go with him.... Of course there was no bus for the passengers ... I heard everyone telling the girls get out of this bus and let this madam come back to her seat . I saw the girls feeling ashamed and came down to tell me ...Malish , anina fekir ita wewe. I told them ... My daughters , in this world you have give respect to any living creature whether wewe, Nyabu or whatsoever because you will be treated the way u treat people. The world is just like a ball . Today is my day tomorrow is urs..... Since you are late for school , here is 20 ssp for both of you and take a boda boda and rush to school. I jumped into the matatu and saw them looking astonished at me and I shouted at them ...and stop that bleaching plz .... OMG Juba is not a good place to bring up children these days ..... Gone are the days , when we were innocent young girls in school uniforms minding our studies and future studies.....not rebuking people on streets.
