* They SERIOUSLY believe we are idiots! * “One of the things about the budget that will be different is that we will be leaving the historical period of austerity arising from the troika behind us,” (Joan Burton on the upcoming Budget [Source - IT]) Austerity did not arise from Troika intervention. Austerity arose BEFORE Troika intervention from the actions of Incompetent, self-serving, greedy, and crony-cultured IRISH politicians in Fianna Fail, and their less than professional relationship with certain banks and developers. It was entrenched by the cowardice of those same FF politicians in the face of blackmail from Trichet / Europe. That same austerity was then hammered home and continued by the pandering and appeasement of liars and cowards in FG and Labour, two parties that promised the opposite. The only people who have not suffered the effects of Austerity are those who caused and continued it, and nobody has been brought to task for what they did. So, Joan Saviour Burton - Champagne Socialist - Please engage brain before opening mouth! The Irish People are not as stupid as you think, and we do not have the short memories you and your ilk think we have, AS WE WILL SHOW YOU AT THE NEXT GENERAL ELECTION. Disgusting! (Rant over)
