They are cute & once they get used to you they are pretty nice & even sweet. Problem is they make a huge mess! We ended up with a cat after my brother in law moved & couldnt take her with him. Shes an outside cat & even though Im highly allergic I like this cat enough to keep her & feed her so every evening Id go out & feed her on a table we had. I had fed her a lot because she was skinny & I wanted to fatten her up some but she wasnt gaining weight. One night after having put her food out I turned & was putting her food into the small Igloo cooler Id been keeping it in. When I turned around I was shocked to find a pretty big coon on the table with her & both were happily eating. I was less than 2 feet from it & knew they could be pretty nasty if you angered them. So I was thinking WTH am I going to do??!! If you know me then you know I grew up around horses & always talked to them so I just always do that with any animal. So thats what I did. I just talked to it while it ate. This became a daily thing, feed the cat, feed the coon. It got to know me & was fine around me. There were a couple things that were bad though. It started bringing friends & they would try fighting the cat for food. Worse they are smart (& have thumbs) so they got the cooler, figured out how to open it & stole the whole bag of dogfood! Then they went for the trash cans & opened them & pulled out trash bags that they ripped open scattering trash all over the yard. Hes so cute but never feed them! No matter how cute they are dont fall for it!!
