They are exactly primitive and theres nothing wrong or disrespectful to call them primitive. They live just like people from 5000-6000 years ago in Eurasia. From written Sumerian tablets, one day the gods were tired of day-to-day hard works so they created humans to do the chores for them. Temples were built for the humans to worship and donate/pay tax. The Temples were also used as banks to store surpluses with a large-scale loan and credit system that essentially functioned just like modern banking. The system was designed to make sure a large population would work very hard so that a small group of EL-ites could live in comfort and spend more time on tasks that required higher intelligence (in theory if robotics done right we can afford to have more people to live like the ancient/financial gods and allow robots to replace humans as slaves). All in all you can argue that tribal peoples may live happier lives but calling them backwards and primitive are simply based on facts I believe.
