They call themselves retirement planners, financial planners or advisors, broker... Whatever. That is a term that means almost nothing. What it really means they are a sales person and more importantly do not hold your interests higher than their own. Read between the lines. What you want is a registered investment advisor or fiduciary whom are obligated by law to act in their clients best interest. Not their own.
