They came after the socialist and I said nothing, because I was not socialist... They, the evil ones, with us whites, collectively, in league with them have been beating, brutalizing, incarcerating, murdering, denigrating, disenfranchising and generally marginalizing those niggers by we niggers, very effectively, since forever and we, white folk, not only did not speak up in protest and in their defense, we, indeed, joined in on all such listed here, oft gleefully with relish and certainly with vehement, vile hatred. We did. Who can say that we, collectively, did not? So, now, who we gonna turn to seek league with while they, the evil ones, denigrate, demean, disenfranchise, disposes of our rights through usurpation of our right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Certainly our need is great to stand in solidarity, is crucial to any hope we might have to stem the tide of evil eroding our Republic, our representative democracy until there is no safe land left on which can survive. ~* Picture please, if you will, be receptive to the idea that what Mr. James Baldwin refers to more than a half-century past , the evil perpetrated, institutionally sanctioned, promulgated and encouraged was the unlawful brutality of police epidemic across our nation now; indeed, if not around the world.
