They did it in the past but were paying for it with our future! ====================================== King Davids children suffered severely as a result of what their father king David did with Bathsheba and her husband Uriah. For those of you that are not aware, King David impregnated Bathsheba who was currently married to Uriah the Hittite. After King David realize he could not coerce Uriah into sleeping with his wife Bathsheba to make him believe the child would be his, he eventually had Uriah killed. God spoke to the prophet Nathan, informing King David that because of his evil doings, the sword shall never depart from his house. It was Davids iniquity that set the course of a generational curse that his future generation would have to pay dearly for. Interestingly enough, after the prophet Nathan revealed to king David all the punishment that was pending for him and his house, scripture records that King David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord. Nathan said, The lord had put away thy sin and thou shall not die. Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme , the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die 2 Samuel 12:9-14 In the above scenario, it is noted that even though king David was the one that committed this evil, his life was preserved due to his repentance. Nevertheless, the reaping of his iniquity was distributed among his children (generational curse)....... please read my article, OUR ANCESTORS HAVE POLLUTED OUR DESTINY so that you can have a clearer understanding as to why all hell is breaking lose in your life for no apparent reason.
