They dont call Vermont the Green Mountain State for nothing. In addition to its beauty, the state also served as home to Norman Rockwell, and inspiration for Edward Hopper, who created some two dozen paintings, including watercolors, that are among the most distinctive of his regional works. Join us tomorrow, Thursday, August 14, 5:30 p.m., as author Bonnie Tocher Clause looks at the artists time in Vermont (between 1927 and 1936), and how he interpreted the region. The event is free for Museum members, or with regular Museum admission. Image: Edward Hopper (1882-1967). Bob Slater’s Hill. Watercolor on paper, 13.5 x 19.5 in.
