They fought with us on the beaches here against the Kirra proposal, and we must fight with them to save South Stradbroke, Wavebreak and the Seaway from these monsters and their foreign dredging equipment. This has never been about cruise ships, although they will destroy the seaway trying - its about a massive land heist by foreign private interests - they want to own our beaches, own our waterways, our marine park and own our public spaces but we must not allow them. So far our council, mayor and state government MPs have ignored and side stepped the community, Tom Tate has ridiculed the surfing community to no end over this, so its vital you be there on Dec 7th - Buses and trams will run for those without transport. Every single surfer worth their weight in salt must attend this with their family and friends, or it will give the government the impression that surfers dont matter and surf breaks are not valued - lets show them what happens when they threaten a world class marine park and surf break!
