They have had to call in hospice. I feel so helpless. When I do that event this Saturday, I am speaking of the Journey from then to now with the books, but I am going to dedicate it to them. When I write, I try to make things real. Taking the time to look at the beauty of a single wild flower or be able to reach out to others....the idea to never give up and care about people along the way are only some of the things they taught me. All of what they did as parents helped to make me what I am or try to be, and the reality of these books. I have always said my book were more than just a story in a book. They are doing another blood transfusion today and may let her go home tomorrow until she needs more care than she can get there. I do not know if they can come to the event, but I pray they can have this one moment shared and thanking them along with the people who come to the event. I hope to make it as interesting as possible and it will be a moment to live in my heart forever. I want to do what ever I can for them now.
