They have now repeated ad nauseum (on radio) that its the first working day of the New Year. How does the ex PE members feel about retirement? Do you miss your old jobs? The days of staying a lifetime in the same job, due to loyalty, seems to be gone forever . After my boss left the firm to take up a five year contract as Ombudsman for Short Term Insurance I temped . Unfortunately I was continously phoned by the security company to return home due to intruders on the premises and attempted and actual break ins. I now have outside sensors but didnt return to work again. Do I miss working? Not really - but the extra cash helped towards overseas trips etc but then there is the Provisional Tax to contend with. (I did, however, take care of my grandson for his first year) Give us your opinion/advice. As Bette Davis said: Getting old is not for sissies
