They just upgraded my computer at the ol job, and lo and behold, theres no disc drive. (Had to order one extra.) It seems now that everything is streamed, or downloaded. This makes me uncomfortable. Im making a prediction- and you all know Im not a conspiracy guy- but I predict before long computers will be made with no memory capacity at all, and so forcing all your work, all your info- everything- to the cloud. Nothing you do will be really yours. There will be nothing to own. Just data, but worse, data that is stored you-know-not-where. Extremely hackable. And all it takes is to fall on the wrong side of the government, and with one flick of the switch, everything youve ever done, everything you think you own, your money, your accounts, your info... done. Youre locked out. And as the Scriptures say, you will be unable to buy or sell. Locked out. Your entire life swept away by the cloud. Im not digging this. Not at all.
